728 N Thornton is a 60-space, half-acre parking lot located in downtown Orlando, FL. When we acquired the property in 2013, the lot was in significant disrepair and included a deteriorated 800-square-foot residential duplex in the corner that was uninhabitable and severely termite-infested. Over the following year, we completely rebuilt the small structure into a neighborhood commercial space, commissioned local artist Chris Scala to design a custom art fence along nearly 200 feet of N Thornton frontage, and fully repaved and restriped the parking lot. Today, the property serves multiple commercial tenants and functions as a community hub, hosting events such as the Edoboy Night Market and the annual Lunar New Year Festival. The former duplex has been transformed into the nationally recognized stand-up sushi bar Edoboy, which has earned numerous accolades, including back-to-back Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand awards.
