807 N Mills is a vibrant neighborhood retail center located in the heart of Orlando’s Mills 50 District. Built in the 1940s, the property features high ceilings, original sidewalk canopies, and classic mid-century architectural character. When we acquired the building in 2019, it was already home to The Strand, a beloved neighborhood staple known for its chef-driven American bistro menu. After acquisition, we undertook a significant façade cleanup and, over several years, repositioned the commercial spaces to allow The Strand to expand and introduce its DBA neighborhood bar concept. We also brought in another well-known local restaurateur to open Chi-Kin, one of Central Florida’s first and most acclaimed Korean fried chicken restaurants. The Strand has since earned multiple accolades—including the Orlando Sentinel’s Foodie “Restaurant of the Year” and back-to-back Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand awards—while Chi-Kin has become a popular Mills 50 destination with a strong and growing social media following.
